Start your day at City Hall where you can enjoy live music, entertainment, indoor stage shows, displays, kids' crafts, prizes, face painting, magicians, dancing and much more! The ceremony will begin at noon, and you can enjoy an afternoon of free Canada Day activities and entertainment in City Hall and outside on the Plaza. There will be balloons, stilt walkers, jazz festival street team, horse sense petting zoo, and Canadian Blood Services. Don't forget to check out the Works Display Kids' Crafts and Works Art & Design Festival.

Next, head over to the Alberta Legislature for more celebrations. You can witness a citizenship ceremony, enjoy a free pancake breakfast, see antique cars, and live entertainment. There will be plenty of activities for kids, including balloon creations and face painting. Don't miss the Clan MacNaughton Pipe Band, the K9 Korruption Dog Sports Club, and the Criterium Cycle Race.

If you're looking for a unique experience, make your way to Fort Edmonton Park. The park is decorated for the occasion with historical vignettes, music, and entertainment. After the parade, visitors can enjoy a slice of free cake and take in the Amazing Variety Show inside Blatchford Field Air Hangar.

The Muttart Conservatory is another great place to celebrate Canada Day. Enjoy live music with the jazz group "Six Feet Up," Canada Day crafts, caricatures, face painting, and family fun. Take a tour and learn about Patriotic Plants, including the maple and other plants that are important national symbols around the world.

The Edmonton Valley Zoo is celebrating Canada Day and its 52nd birthday with a variety of entertainment and special surprises. Visitors can learn about Canadian animals and enjoy mini-talks about these incredible creatures. There will be inflatables, face painting, educational talks, hands-on science experiments, and a Bubble Blowing Bash. Don't miss the massive tiered birthday cake made out of fruit and ice, which will be given to Lucy the elephant to celebrate her 36th birthday.

If you're looking for something fun and quirky, join SHINEFM at the Silly Summer Parade in Old Strathcona. The parade mixes Canada Day spirit with twisted humor and good old-fashioned fun. The parade begins at noon and winds up at Queen Alexandra School for the Picnic in the Park Event. This fun-filled afternoon features family activities, including a jumping castle, entertainment, and a fundraising barbecue.

Finally, end your day with a bang at the Canada Day Fireworks Finale at Kinsmen Park Launch Site. The spectacular fireworks display over Edmonton's river valley parks and the North Saskatchewan River is a sight to behold. Good viewing locations include the Alberta Legislature Grounds, Victoria Park, Ezio Faraone Park, Dantzer's Hill, and Government House Park.
